The MUNACA executive and PSAC Québec have sent a joint letter of support to locked-out Rio Tinto Alcan workers, who are also FTQ members. We expressed our support and solidarity with their fight, in particular given the support we received from the FTQ, and given the multiple injunctions and legal proceedings they are facing just as we did during our strike. It is worth noting that Heather Munroe-Blum is on the Board of Governors of Rio Tinto Alcan. MUNACA also sent a $1,000 cheque for the locked-out workers.
